As local ceramic artists and long-time Helena residents, we saw a need within the community for additional studio space that other locations could not fill. Rather than charging separate firing fees, we offer a flat-rate for members to create, fire, and store their artwork. Even in a turbulent economy, we believe local artists should have access to an affordable, welcoming space to create.

The Mud Hole provides a therapeutic, calming atmosphere that is inclusive to all. This is a space to work amongst like-minded artists who enjoy the ceramic arts, and to bounce ideas and designs off one another. Whether you’ve been playing with mud all your life or are brand new to ceramics, there is an option for you!
